Area of Science:

  • Neurosurgery
  • Vascular Neurology
  • Interventional Radiology

Background:

  • Endovascular coiling is a common treatment for basilar tip aneurysms.
  • Complications and rare post-procedural findings require careful evaluation.

Observation:

  • Two patients exhibited posterior tilting of a basilar tip aneurysm following selective endovascular coiling.
  • This specific anatomical shift was observed post-treatment.

Findings:

  • The study investigates the potential causes of posterior tilting, such as coil migration or hemodynamic changes.
  • The clinical significance and potential impact on aneurysm stability are analyzed.

Implications:

  • Understanding this phenomenon is crucial for accurate post-coiling assessment.
