Growth hormone (GH) receptors are present in nonfunctioning pituitary adenomas (NFPAs), but GH and IGF-I do not consistently stimulate tumor cell proliferation or hormone secretion in vitro.

- GH receptors are expressed in human pituitary adenoma cells, but their functional significance is unclear.
