Introduction:
Amiodarone can induced hepatic dysfunction.
Observations:
We describe two patients who developed hepatotoxicity presenting suggestive histological features. The outcome was fatal in one case but lesions were reversible in the second case upon treatment interruption.
Conclusion:
These observations show the necessity of hepatic monitoring of patients treated with amiodarone in order to detect potentially severe hepatotoxicity.
