Summary

Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) affects many women, posing diagnostic challenges. Transvaginal ultrasound with saline infusion sonohysterography offers a safe, non-invasive method to accurately diagnose AUB and guide treatment.

Background:

Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common gynecological complaint, accounting for significant clinic visits and surgeries.
Patients with AUB face challenges including cancer exclusion and managing associated fear and annoyance.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the utility of transvaginal ultrasound with saline infusion sonohysterography in managing AUB.
To determine if this imaging technique can effectively triage patients for further evaluation or treatment.

Transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) combined with saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS) was employed.
