Summary

Aggressive chemotherapy cures most childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). However, cranial irradiation to prevent leukemia spread can harm IQ. Hyper-fractionated radiotherapy, given twice daily, may reduce this delayed toxicity.
