[Surgical tactics in chronic autoimmune thyroiditis]

Analysis of surgical treatment of 76 patients with Hashimoto's disease has shown that focal forms of disease are an absolute indication for operation: cancer was diagnosed in 6.6. per cent of patients in intraoperative verification. Progressive thyrotoxicosis or neck compression served as an indication in a diffuse form of lesion.
