Background:

  • Periodontal disease is a common inflammatory condition.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate a novel resorbable hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) strip for localized metronidazole (MTZ) delivery.
  • To assess the in vitro and in vivo efficacy of MTZ-loaded HPMC strips for periodontal disease treatment.
