[The clinical analysis of malignant change in oral lichen planus]

In this study,633 cases of oral lichen planus,which were confirmed histologically,had been observed and followed-up for 1-17 years.The results show that 8 cases of them were malignant change with the incidence of 1.3% and sex ratio in 3 males and females.The mean age of malignant change group was 50.9 years.The patient's mean history was 10.9 years.The sites involved in buccal mucosa,lower lip,and the border of ventral tongue mucosa.The type of the lesion was all ulcerative type except 1 case with proliferation.In the present group 7 cases were followed-up for the mean time of 3.6 years,and 2 cases were found the recurrence of cancer.
