Purpose of the Study:

  • A multicenter, cross-sectional study involving 500 adult asthma patients (aged 18-55) across 16 Italian specialized clinics.
  • Data collected via self-administered questionnaires between May 1 and November 30, 1999, focusing on direct costs (medications, physician visits, emergency services, hospitalization) and indirect costs (lost workdays).
