Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin condition affecting the face.
Distinguishing rosacea from other facial dermatoses is clinically important for effective management.

Observation:

A patient presented with papulopustular, rosacea-like facial lesions.
Microscopic examination of pustule smears revealed a high density of Demodex mites.

Findings:

The presence of numerous Demodex mites supports demodicosis as a distinct clinical entity.
Demodicosis can mimic the clinical presentation of rosacea.

Implications:

Accurate etiological diagnosis through direct examination is essential.
This differentiation is critical for selecting appropriate therapeutic interventions and avoiding misdiagnosis.
