Summary

Obstructive jaundice primes a heightened inflammatory response during endotoxin challenge, despite underlying cellular immune suppression. This study reveals altered cytokine levels, including tumor necrosis factor and interleukins, in jaundiced rats challenged with lipopolysaccharide.
