Abstract:
In this review, the adequate steps for the anatomical diagnosis of congenital heart diseases are defined. We emphasize the need to use the connections among the diverse segments as an adequate measure to take care of the anatomical diagnosis of congenital heart diseases. These segments are the atria, the ventricles, and the large arteries. Lesions occupy the second stage in the sequential analysis of congenital heart diseases, not withstanding their knowledge remains essential.
