Case Report:
A 72 year old man with open-angle glaucoma was treated with trabeculectomy and cataract surgery. Two years later, intraocular pressure increased making it necessary to add travoprost 0.004%. Two weeks later, visual acuity decreased. The diagnosis of cystoid macular edema and post-treatment observation were carried out using optical coherence tomography.
Discussion:
Cystoid macular edema is one of the most important effects of hypotensive lipids. Optical coherence tomography is a non-invasive method useful for the diagnosis and evolution of this complication.
