Purpose:

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of hoses esophagoscopy for esophageal foreign body removal.
To compare hoses esophagoscopy with conventional rigid esophagoscopy.

Summary:

Hoses esophagoscopy, utilizing flexible endoscopes, gastrofibroscopes, or electrogastroscope with tongs, was employed for esophageal foreign body extraction.
Successful removal was achieved in 30 out of 33 adult patients.
The remaining three patients with complex foreign bodies were managed with a combination of hoses and rigid esophagoscopy, with no reported perforations or complications.
