Summary

Auditory brainstem implants (ABIs) offer a solution for patients with cochlear implant (CI) failure due to anatomical issues. These implants can restore sound detection and speech understanding in cases where CIs do not yield satisfactory results.

  • Post-ABI activation, adult patients demonstrated open-set sentence recognition scores ranging from 0% to 100%.
