Why is priority setting important for global burn care research?

Background:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common condition affecting median nerve function.
  • Surgical decompression is a primary treatment for CTS, but functional recovery varies.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To prospectively evaluate the recovery of grip and pinch strength after surgical decompression for CTS.
  • To compare postoperative strength to preoperative baseline and assess long-term functional outcomes.
