[Experimental observation on the absorption of Veratrum nigrum L. in the upper digestive tract]

This paper presents the experimental results of the absorption of orally administered Veratrum nigrum in the upper digestive tract. Taking the anomaly in ECG and intoxicative symptoms as the main parameters, we have found that Veratrum nigrum could be absorbed by the oral cavity, esophagus and stomach of mice or rats, and the esophagus absorbs better than the stomach.
