Summary

Early cochlear implant (CI) use in postlingually deaf adults shows distinct brain activation patterns. Unlike normal hearing individuals, CI users exhibit broader auditory cortex responses and unique frontal lobe engagement during sound processing.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate cortical activation patterns in early cochlear implant (CI) users.
