Abstract:
When performing a laparoscopic pelvic lymph node dissection, the tissue specimen may be too large to remove through the laparoscopic trocar. An organ entrapment system has been developed that allows en bloc retrieval of nodal tissue via an 11 mm. trocar site. This system facilitates tissue removal, and minimizes the risk of tissue loss and possible peritoneal or wound contamination.
