Summary

Adding stretching to a traditional warm-up does not impact tennis serve performance in adult players. This study found no significant short-term effects of stretching on serve speed or accuracy across various skill levels.

  • Serve speed (radar) and serve percentage were measured for both conditions.

  • Stretching showed nonsignificant effects on serve speed (p=0.06) and accuracy (p=0.35).
