[Astigmatism and corneal incision in cataract surgery. Statistical deductions (author's transl)]

Corneal incision in cataract surgery will produce a large degree of astigmatism greater than that produced in cataracts operated on by the classical methods. The position of the incision and the suture material (nylon) are responsible. The authors have attempted a statistical study of this difference, comparing modern and classical methods, referring for the latter to previous work.
