Postanesthesia shaking: a review

The purpose of this article is to describe the phenomenon of postanesthesia shaking (PS) and discuss its significance to the patient recovering from anesthesia, and to review the literature on the subject. Based on this review, future studies are recommended to replicate previous work, and to provide a more comprehensive picture of PS. Results of research may determine further treatment for PS.
