Unlabelled:
Double depressor palsy is a rare monolateral condition showing a down gaze difficulty, associated sometimes with a superior lid retraction.
Material And Method:
The paper presents the clinical situation and the surgical treatment in a patient with the symptoms of double depressors palsy. The surgical treatment consisted in deinsertion of the inferior oblique, recession of the medial rectus, and advancement of the lateral rectus 6.5 mm from the limbus. Surgery led to good alignment in the horizontal and vertical plan, but a slight limitation of abduction and of downward gaze persisted.
