Abstract:
The new technologies of information underwent tremendous developments in the last decade that translated into a dramatic shift in the exercise of Medicine and Surgery. We have to keep informed about these changes that opened new perspectives in the management of our patients and that promise new and even more profound developments in the near future. The authors make a brief revision of the impact of the new technologies in the diagnosis, staging and surgical planning and the promising field of robotics and telesurgery in Thoracic Surgery.
