Summary

A specific single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), rs626716, at the KPNB3 locus is associated with schizophrenia in British family trios. This finding, supported by haplotype analysis and replication in a Chinese population, suggests KPNB3 may harbor a schizophrenia-related variant.
