Summary

A rare Pantoea ananatis infection occurred in a hospitalized patient following a colonoscopy. Prompt antibiotic treatment led to a full recovery, highlighting the importance of accurate bacterial identification.

Bacteria showed susceptibility to all tested antibiotics.

Pantoea ananatis can cause opportunistic infections in hospitalized patients.
Accurate identification and timely antibiotic therapy are crucial for patient recovery.
