Geostatistics and GIS software were used to map 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)ethylene (DDE) contamination at a Maryland Superfund site. This spatial analysis predicts DDE levels in residential areas, aiding environmental remediation efforts.
