Summary

Genetic polymorphisms in ACE, alpha-adducin, and aldosterone synthase influence renal function. This study in Chinese Han subjects found serum uric acid levels are associated with the ACE D allele, particularly in carriers of alpha-adducin Gly and aldosterone synthase C alleles.
