Cell cytometry with a light touch: sorting microscopic matter with an optical lattice

This study introduces a novel microfluidic sorting method using a 3D optical lattice created by interfering laser beams. This non-invasive technique achieves high-efficiency particle separation based on physical properties, overcoming limitations of traditional micro-sorters.
