Summary

Paragon corneal refractive therapy (CRT) lenses offer effective temporary myopia reduction. Patients with mild to moderate myopia and limited astigmatism experienced significant visual acuity improvement and refractive correction.

Background:

  • Myopia is a common refractive error.
  • Corneal refractive therapy (CRT) offers a non-surgical approach to myopia management.
  • Paragon CRT lenses are designed for overnight wear to temporarily correct myopia.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the initial clinical experience with Paragon corneal refractive therapy (CRT) lenses.
  • To assess the efficacy and outcomes of CRT in a cohort of myopic patients.

Main Methods:

  • Twenty myopic patients were fitted with Paragon CRT lenses.
  • Inclusion criteria: spherical correction -1.00 to -7.75 D, astigmatism < 1.62 D.
  • Patients were followed for an average of 5.1 months.
