[Attempt of a definite statement on dental care for the handicapped]

A survey made in cooperation with various institutions for the handicapped ascertained the dental coverage and care of the handicapped. Participating in the survey were 634 institutions for the handicapped. The study included 98,737 handicapped individuals treated on both an in-patient and an out-patient basis in these institutions. The results of the survey tend to indicate that dental care for the handicapped is in need of improvement.
