Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To review existing literature on genetic factors in ocular dominance.
  • To present new data on the inheritance of eye preference.

  • Examined eye preference in 292 parent-offspring triads and 36 sibling pairs.
  • Analyzed familial correlations and incidence of right- and left-eyedness.
