Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) overdose was confirmed in one-third of suspected cases. Many GHB overdose patients presented with similar symptoms to other drug overdoses, complicating diagnosis.

- Clinical presentations included vomiting, ataxia, respiratory depression, unconsciousness, and altered consciousness.
- Notably, 92 of 146 suspected cases lacked confirmed GHB, indicating significant diagnostic overlap with other overdose types.
