Summary

Gaze-induced amaurosis, a transient vision loss triggered by eye movement, was linked to an orbital mass compressing the central retinal artery. Surgical removal resolved the vision loss and restored normal blood flow.

  • This maneuver significantly reduced central retinal artery blood flow on Doppler imaging.

Findings:

  • The patient presented with abnormally high vascular resistance in the central retinal artery in the primary position.
  • Surgical excision of the orbital mass led to the complete resolution of gaze-evoked amaurosis.
