Summary
Microscopic hair analysis is a reliable and cost-effective forensic tool, correctly identifying 80% of samples. While Polymerase Chain Reaction-Short Tandem Repeat (PCR-STR) DNA analysis is powerful, it yielded conclusive results in only 60% of cases in this study.
