Summary

This study found no evidence of increased hypothalamic corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) secretion in panic disorder patients. Metyrapone tests did not reveal differences between patients and healthy controls, suggesting normal hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis function in the nonpanic state.
