Dietary artichoke juice supplementation improved endothelial function in hyperlipidemic patients. Artichoke juice reduced cholesterol and improved brachial flow-mediated vasodilation, indicating a positive effect on vascular health.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the impact of dietary artichoke juice on brachial FMV in hyperlipidemic individuals.
  • To assess changes in serum lipids and endothelial markers following artichoke supplementation.

Main Methods:

  • 18 hyperlipidemic patients received 20 ml/day of artichoke juice for 6 weeks.
  • Serum lipids, VCAM-1, ICAM-1, E-selectin, and brachial FMV were measured at baseline and after 6 weeks.
