Summary

The environmental pollutant 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) exhibits weak estrogenic activity in the uterus. Gene expression analysis shows TCDD partially activates estrogen-responsive genes, but less so than estradiol.
