Summary

We studied the tricritical Blume-Capel model with constraints. The Fisher renormalization for constrained critical behavior was generalized, showing modified tricriticality and results explained by this mechanism, not mean-field theory.

Main Results:

  • Constrained tricritical behavior differs from unconstrained systems.
  • Specific heat shows a finite cusp at tricriticality.
  • Binder ratio differs under constraint; generalized Fisher renormalization explains data.

Conclusions:

  • The generalized Fisher renormalization mechanism successfully explains the constrained tricritical behavior.
  • Mean-field predictions for the constrained tricritical Blume-Capel model in 3D are not supported by simulation data.
  • Constrained critical phenomena require specialized renormalization approaches.
