Abstract:
We present the basic physiologic principles of parathormone activity and the clinical problems most often associated with hyperparathyroidism. From the other side, emphasizing the specificity of pulsating subcutaneous administration of parathormone we revealed the possibility of introduction of this drug as a very effective agent in the treatment of osteoporosis because of its stimulating effect on osteoblasts, increase of bone turnover and reduction of bone fractures.
