  • Pathological examination revealed chronic inflammation and the presence of Schistosoma mansoni eggs within the resected epididymis.

Implications:

  • This case underscores Schistosoma mansoni as a potential, albeit rare, cause of chronic epididymitis.
  • Successful management involved surgical intervention followed by antiparasitic therapy (oxamniquine).
