Evaluation of two skeletal and dental class III cases: 10 years postretention

Aim:
The orthodontic treatment and the results of treatment of two skeletal and dental Class III cases are presented.
Material And Methods:
The cephalometric radiographs taken before and after treatment and 10 years out of retention are evaluated, and the basis for the selected treatment approach is presented. Ten-year postretention results are reviewed and factors that provide the clinician with a better understanding of treatment alternatives in growing patients with Class III relationships are discussed.
Results And Conclusion:
Type of malocclusion, direction of mandibular growth, maxillary and mandibular incisor inclinations, origin of the anomaly, and patient cooperation are important factors in selecting a treatment plan for this malocclusion.
