Summary
Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) offers no significant advantage in preventing postoperative pulmonary dysfunction compared to on-pump CABG. Future strategies should focus beyond cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) to minimize lung impairment after surgery.
