Summary

Obesity is a risk factor for elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) in individuals with sleep-disordered breathing. This study found that body mass index, not sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) or upper airway resistance syndrome (UARS), was significantly associated with high CRP levels.

Background:
