- Two patients developed scleral cysts 2 and 6 years post-corneal incision ECCS.
- Cysts were confined to the sclera, without corneal or anterior chamber involvement.
Findings:
- Histopathology confirmed scleral cysts.
- Surgical excision of the anterior cyst wall and debridement of the posterior wall with alcohol prevented recurrence.
Implications:
- Scleral cyst formation is a potential late complication of cataract surgery.
- This surgical approach may reduce recurrence rates for scleral cysts.
