[Methods of improvement of diagnosis of thyroid cancer]

Duplex ultrasonography in combination with fine-needle aspiration biopsy (NBA) were used for early diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Main sonographic symptoms of thyroid cancer permitted to select patients for NBA. Diagnostic mistakes were analyzed on each stage of diagnosis based on complex of clinical and morphological features of thyroid epithelium. This approach in diagnosis of thyroid cancer permits to make accurate diagnosis before hospitalization and to plan treatment and surgical policy correctly.
