[A case of a schistosomal bladder polyp].

Summary

This case study presents a 67-year-old patient with bladder tumor and schistosomal polyp. Histopathologic and microbiologic examinations confirmed the diagnoses following transurethral resection.

Background:

Transurethral resection (TUR) is a common procedure for bladder tumors.
Schistosomal polyps are rare but significant bladder lesions.

Observation:

A 67-year-old patient underwent TUR for a diagnosed bladder tumor.
The patient also had a history of schistosomal polyp.
Post-operative histopathologic and microbiologic examinations were performed.

Findings:

Histopathology confirmed the presence of bladder tumor and schistosomal polyp.
Microbiologic examination provided further diagnostic insights.

Implications:

This case highlights the importance of comprehensive histopathologic and microbiologic evaluation in complex bladder conditions.
Understanding the interplay between tumor and parasitic lesions is crucial for patient management.
