[Combination therapy with insulin and sulfonylurea compounds in type II diabetes mellitus--long-term results]
Wiener Klinische Wochenschrift
|January 1, 1992
Abstract:
24 type II diabetic patients who displayed persistent fasting hyperglycaemia on maximal sulphonylurea therapy were treated with a combination of insulin and sulphonylurea agents. Satisfactory control of blood glucose levels was achieved by means of this therapeutic regimen. The good results on carbohydrate metabolism in these patients were maintained over a follow-up period of one year.
