Summary

Edaravone, a free-radical scavenger, does not impair neutrophil antibacterial functions. It inhibits hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl radical generation in vitro, suggesting it quenches reactive oxygen species rather than hindering neutrophil defense mechanisms.
