Background:

  • 26% of workers had contact dermatitis, 3% atopic dermatitis, and 36% mycosis of the feet.

  • Occupational dermatitis in paper mills is predominantly linked to skin irritant exposure.
  • Occupational physicians must recognize and manage the risk of dermatitis in this workforce.
